Thanks for a great Ribfest!
What do you get when you have four days, six ribbers, 40 vendor booths, hundreds of volunteers, and sunny 25-plus degree weather?
A record-setting event to kick off summer!
More than 54,000 people turned out to support Waterdown's Oh Canada Ribfest over the July 1 weekend - our biggest attendance ever - and from the opening of country music night on Friday through the skate jam and fireworks on Sunday, right to the crowd singing O Canada to close things out on Monday evening, our 10th anniversary celebration was a full community effort.
The Rotarians on the organizing committee dedicate months to planning Ribfest each year, and most work non-stop throughout the weekend to ensure its success. But without the support of the local sponsors, businesses, residents, attendees - and especially the small army of volunteers who give us their time and talents year after year - there would be no Ribfest.
So, a sincere thank you to all who helped us take this year's Ribfest to the next level, and to all who made a donation to support Rotary projects in our community.
See you in 2020!
