Local Music Flavours at Ribfest

While ribs may be the headliners at Memorial Park every July 1 weekend, there is also some serious star power on the main music stage. Heck, some of my favourite Ribfest memories are of dancing and partying with friends to the sounds of Freedom Train or The 905 Band - with no barbecue sauce involved at all!

Organizing a great lineup every year is not a small task: Ribfest's entertainment committee chair Garry has been hard at work scouting out bands for months, and he always gets loads of response from great new talent interested in playing for the Ribfest fans. The key, for Rotary Club of Waterdown, is to deliver professional entertainment with a strong community connection.

Some perennial crowd favourites have already been booked ... with many more to come. The lineup will be posted by early June, so whether you love country music, classic rock, reggae, or even Mariachi bands, be sure to check the 2019 schedule when planning your Ribfest visits. And, hey, you may even want some ribs on the side!
